MY DISC GOLF GOALS
My goal is to be the best disc golfer I can be. But with less time to practice and more time spent on organizing club tournaments and Skellefteå Open I have switched focus to have as much fun as possible, even when the disc doesn’t fly exactly where I want.
MEMORABLE DISC GOLF MOMENTS
Winning the PDGA Junior World Championships back in 2004 is a fond memory of mine. Coming from Sweden and competing against talented players from the US was a big step. I played consistent all rounds and managed to win by 14 shots. But the whole atmosphere around the event and meeting people from all over the world is what I remember the most.
First off, never forget that the essence of disc golf is to have fun! Start with throwing putters and practice all the different angles. Do not chase distance with high speed drivers. You might throw further, but you will have a harder time to learn a proper technique. Play with disc golfers who are better than you, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. It’s fun to play casual rounds, but it is not the best way to practice. Field work is great for quantity and quality. Be playful and invent challenges for yourself when practicing specific shots.

“My main distance driver. Straight flight and lots of glide.”
“My go-to fairway driver. I use Explorer for most shots around 330 feet.”
“For long sweeping anhyzers. Hyzer flip for straight shots. Glides forever! Has a flight like no other disc.”
“My putter of choice. Great release of out my hand.”
