Latitude 64° Plastic Guide

Diving in to the different types of plastics, additives and effects can be daunting. This guide will give you a good overview of what our main disc golf plastic types are.

ROYAL PLASTICS

The Latitude 64° Royal Line takes disc golf quality one step further the innovative NexEdge and NexFeel technologies. The days of sharp flashing are gone as the NexEdge process provides a buttery-smooth feel to the bottom and outer parts of the rim. NexFeel is our new polish technology enhancing the grip and feel of the whole disc surface. Want the best? The Royal discs are made for you.

PREMIUM PLASTIC

Royal Grand is our durable premium plastic with great grip that will not fail you, no matter the outside circumstances. It features a soft feel with a rigid rim part with perfect flex.

PUTTER PLASTIC

Sense is the grippy putter plastic in our Royal Line. The combination of a sturdy feel and great grip gives you an edge in the short game.

PREMIUM PLASTICS

One of the worlds most durable plastics, it comes in a variety of beautiful translucent colors. The Opto Line plastic has been developed to withstand severe punishment and extreme conditions better than other plastics.

Opto-X is a premium blend of plastics that provides a stiffer feel, increased durability, and more overstable flights compared to regular Opto.

Opto-Ice is a premium blend of plastics that provides a stiffness between Opto and Opto-X. It has great durability, and more overstable flights compared to regular Opto.

Gold Line is our premium blend plastic. The start of the mix has been the same brand plastics used in Opto Line but we added a different polymer to give it better grip without losing the excellent durability of Opto Line.

Gold-X is a premium blend of plastics that provides a stiffer feel, increased durability, and more overstable flights compared to regular Gold.

Gold-Ice is a premium blend of plastics that provides a stiffness between Gold and Gold-X. It has great durability, and more overstable flights compared to regular Gold.

BioGold plastic makes disc golf more sustainable. When production of premium plastics like Opto or Gold discs doesn’t come out to our high-quality standards they are mixed, melted down and combined to create BioGold. This reduces unnecessary waste and lowers disc golf’s carbon footprint. BioGold has great feel, grip and flight, and breaks in a bit faster.

For the Opto Air we use the same material as our durable Opto Line plastic. It is however slightly modified with a different process to achieve a stunning result of lighter weight discs, but keeping the same weight distribution as close as possible to the Opto and Gold Line discs.

For a few selected disc models in the Opto Line plastic, we have added a translucent material for a glow-in-the-dark effect. When playing disc golf during night time, all you need is to grab your flashlight, or any other strong light source, and charge up the glow properties of the plastic, making it easier to find your disc even on nights when the Moon doesn’t Shine.

Frost is a soft, durable premium plastic with exceptional grip. It’s great for disc golf in cold conditions. When the temperature drops Frost retain more flexibility than other plastics, meaning better grip, more comfort, and more control. Speaking about control, if you need a disc to stop near the basket Frost will do the trick by grabbing the ground quickly. Expect a more understable flight compared to regular Opto.

PUTTER PLASTICS

Zero Line is the grippy putter plastic used in our putters and approach discs. It is chosen for the good grip and feel you need in your short game. With three different stiffness levels (Soft, Medium, Hard) you will surely find your favourite.

STARTER PLASTIC

Great grip and beginner friendly flights. This is the perfect plastic blend for your first disc. This is also our most affordable plastic. For a long time we have had requests to make discs that break in more easily. Test after test led us to this plastic blend that we have named Retro.
