Latitude 64° Plastic Guide

Diving in to the different types of plastics, additives and effects can be daunting. This guide will give you a good overview of what our main disc golf plastic types are.

Description: Opto Line is made out of some of the world’s most durable plastics. It comes in a variety of beautiful translucent colors. The Opto Line plastic has been developed to withstand severe punishment and extreme conditions better than other plastics.
Availability: All molds except some putters.

Description: Gold Line is our premium blend plastic. The start of the mix has been the same brand plastics used in Opto Line but we added a different polymer to give it better grip without losing the excellent durability of Opto Line.
Availability: Selected molds.

Zero Soft

Zero Medium

Zero Hard

Description: Zero Line is the grippy putter plastic used in our putters and approach discs. It is chosen for the good grip and feel you need in your short game. With three different stiffness levels (Soft, Medium, Hard) you will surely find your favorite.
Availability: All putters.

Description: Great grip and beginner friendly flights. This is the perfect plastic blend for your first disc. This is also our most affordable plastic. For a long time we have had requests to make discs that break in more easily.  Test after test led us to this plastic blend that we have named Retro.
Availability: Selected molds.

Opto Moonshine

Description: For a few selected disc models in the Opto Line plastic, we have added a translucent material for a glow-in-the-dark effect. When playing disc golf during night time, all you need is to grab your flashlight, or any other strong light source, and charge up the glow properties of the plastic, making it easier to find your disc even on nights when the Moon doesn’t Shine.
Availability: Limited runs on selected molds.

Opto Air

Description: Looking for lightweight discs? For the Opto Air we use the same material as our durable Opto Line plastic. It is however slightly modified with a different process to achieve a stunning result of lighter weight discs.
Availability: Selected molds, mostly drivers.

Description: This is a mix of reprocessed material from Opto and Gold Line discs that have come up short during quality control. Recycled discs are usually slightly less stable than Opto and Gold discs, and they also break in a bit faster.
Availability: Limited runs on selected molds.

Description: Opto-X is a premium blend of plastics that provides a stiffer feel, increased durability, and more overstable flights.
Availability: Team Series discs + limited runs on selected molds.
