What does this Player of the Year Award means to you?
I’m really honored to receive the FPO Player of the year Award from Estonian Disc Golf Association because there are so many talented women here in Estonia. I’m also so happy that in addition to Estonian Disc Golf Association award, I got awarded the Best Female Athlete in Pärnu, which is my hometown. This really shows that I had a great season in 2017 and I’m happy that disc golf is recognized as any other sport. And of course what makes it all really special is when your other half wins the MPO Player of the Year Award as well.

What was your 2017 highlight?
The whole 2017 season is really special to me. I’m especially proud that I finished in top 3 in every EPT that I competed in and won the overall tournament. I’m also happy about all the national titles and 7th place finish in USWDGC. Every tournament taught me something and made me a better player, but I still hope the best is yet to come and I’m working hard for it.

What was your favorite tournament in 2017?
My favorite and most memorable tournament was probably USWDGC because it was my first time in the US playing disc golf with all the wonderful women that I met. I was so amazed how many women took part of the tournament and I enjoyed playing all the courses. I’m definitely looking forward to next year’s USWDGC.

What are your goals for 2018?
My goals for 2018 is to defend my national titels and EPT overall win. I also want to beat my 7th place in USWDGC and finish on the podium at the European Championships. In addition to that I’d like to take part of the World Championships – it has always been a big dream for me and I hope this year I get the chance to do that.

What tournament do you look forward to most for 2018?
I’m really looking forward to the European Championships in Croatia. It is the biggest tournament this year in Europe and I’d like to finish strong there.

What does this Player of the Year Award mean to you?
I’m delighted to receive that kind of reward from Estonian Disc Golf Association! What makes it really special is that disc golf is growing so fast here in Estonia. We have many talented players who all deserve that recognition.

What was your 2017 highlight?
One of the highlights was the final round of Estonian Championships this Summer. It was a great battle against my biggest competitor and I believe it was really fun to watch.

What was your favorite tournament in 2017?
My favorite tournament was Skellefteå Open in Sweden. I didn’t manage to repress that course last year but I’ll be back this year and I’m going to make some adjustments.

What are your goals for 2018?
My biggest goal is to grow the sport. Trainings, clinics and side events as much as possible together with my beautiful partner Kristin. Also would like to travel a lot and of course to progress as a player. I’m working to join the 1000+ club at the end of the season!

What tournament do you look forward to most for 2018?
I’m looking forward to the European Championships in Croatia the most. I’m aiming high this time. And of course The World Championships in Vermont.
